Jingmin Ren is a distinguished contemporary Chinese-Australian artist whose emotional works seamlessly blend hertraditional Chinese cultural heritage with the influence of her Western environment. Born and deeply immersed in Chineseculture, Ren’s artistic journey truly flourished after she moved to Sydney, Australia, in 2009. Her unique perspective, shaped bythis bicultural experience, infuses her art with rich symbolism, surrealism, and spiritual energy.

Ren’s works are not confined to a particular artistic genre but often exhibit characteristics of symbolism and surrealism,emphasizing the flow of energy and positive emotions. Her paintings frequently incorporate symbolic elements from bothEastern and Western cultures—flying birds representing freedom and spiritual elevation, the rising sun symbolizing hope andnew beginnings, and glowing orbs along with swirling brushstrokes evoking a sense of energy and movement.

In addition to oil painting, Ren practices Chinese calligraphy and explores AI-generated art, continuously pushing theboundaries of creativity. Her “Sydney Morning” photography series captures the stunning sunrises of Sydney, reflecting herdeep connection with her new home and showcasing her ability to convey beauty and vitality through art.

In 2012, Ren was commissioned by St. Martha’s Catholic School Strathfield to create a series of oil paintings based on theBook of Genesis. This series not only demonstrated her mastery of oil painting techniques but also highlighted her ability totranslate spiritual themes into captivating visual narratives. The central piece of the series features a verse from Genesis: “Godsaw all that He had made, and it was very good.” This series continues to inspire students and visitors at the school.
Ren’s talent has gained international recognition. 

In 2017, she was awarded the “Outstanding International Female ArtistAward” at the 3rd International Painting Festival in Hawaii. Her works have been exhibited in renowned venues acrossAustralia, the United States, and China, earning her praise and a loyal following. Notably, her piece Light After the Storm fetched AUD 10,000 at the 2023 Mrs. Australia International Grand Finale, demonstrating the power and value of her artistic voice. Recently, her works were also invited for exhibition in New York’s Times Square, further enhancing her internationalreputation. Ren’s calligraphy works are equally beloved by audiences.

At the opening of one of her solo exhibitions, she wrote 100 “Fu”characters live, blessing the audience with happiness and fortune. During the Lunar New Year, she also writes festive coupletsat Nan Tien Temple, the largest Buddhist temple in the Southern Hemisphere, offering blessings to visitors. Beyond her personal artistic pursuits, Ren is dedicated to sharing her passion for art with others. She has volunteered as anart teacher and was recognized for her contributions with certificates of appreciation from the Bankstown and Canterbury CityCouncils. Her intuitive creative process often allows the painting and brushstrokes to guide her, resulting in spontaneous andcaptivating works that invite viewers to explore deeper meanings and experience a sense of wonder and positivity.

Ren has also gained significant visibility on social media, particularly on Instagram (@jingminren), where she shares her latestworks and interacts with a global audience. Her engaging online presence earned her recognition as a Google InternetPersonality, further expanding her influence and reach in the art world.

Through her vibrant oil paintings, captivating photography, and commitment to community engagement, Jingmin Rencontinues to inspire and uplift audiences worldwide. Her story is one of dedication, passion, and continual artistic evolution,leaving behind a path filled with beauty and enlightenment. In 2024, her artistic achievements reached new heights with thepublication of a national gift-level crystal album “ Natioanl Gift Artist Going Global – Famous Oil Painter: Jingmin Ren” by Overseas Chinese Publishing House. This collection has been acquired by several consulates in China. Additionally, a limited-edition commemorative stamp album Famous Chinese Artists: Jingmin Ren published by China Post was collected by FoGuang Shan Buddha Memorial Museum in Taiwan, further cementing her international acclaim.
