Bronwen Wade-Leeuwen

Singapore Orchid

Born in Sydney moved to Singapore in 1970s.
Education: Diploma, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore, B. Ed (ART) from COFA; Gd. Dip. (Adult Ed.) From UTS; MA (Environmental Design) from Canberra University, gain a PhD in Arts Education from Educational Studies, Macquarie University in 2015.

Bronwen is the Director of Moku Expressionist Arts Australia and majors in visual arts practices particularly working with water-based mediums and Moku-chi (ink-splash) techniques. She studied rock art frescoes in Australia and Hawaii; designed opera sets for Australian Opera House and Canberra Theatre. She presented several ‘creativity’ workshops around the world particularly, in conjunction with Art In Society International Conferences and INSEA (2009- 2021).

Bronwen Wade-Leeuwen is a Creative Arts Educator working in primary and early childhood education at Macquarie University’s School of Education.

She specialises in ‘Arts-based Play’ and Walking theory at STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) Frameworks in Australian education.

Teaching at the WAC drawing & watercolour painting from 1986-2018. Specialising in Moku contemporary Chinese Watercolours.

She represented Australia in Taiwan as Artist-in-Residence on two occasions in 2003, 2005.
